Brief -

The Umbrella is a non-profit organization that showcases the skills of talented individuals and hosts events to collect money for charities. They take a holistic approach to learning and growth. They believe that for one to excel in their environment, they must be confident and comfortable in their own skin. They recognize that acceptance is the key. In this light, the Umbrella helps individuals attain goals by aiding with mental stability, physical strength, academic achievements, and personal support.

Create a brand identity that represents the brand’s goals and vision.

Solution -

The goal was to develop a strong brand for a business in the non-profit industry. It was important to convey their goals and vision with strong messaging through the design of logo and brand elements.

The logo is designed in Adobe Illustrator using 2 flowy shapes making a U and t to make the umbrella shape in order to suit the business name. The wordmark is created using a sans serif font to look modern, convey simplicity, and creativity. The tagline is done using a script font to also convey creativity, freedom and joy.

The font chosen is a sans serif font and a script font to suit the modern and friendly nature of the business and represent creativity and freedom.

The color palette chosen are colors of the rainbow with less intensity to showcase that the business is all about diversity and inclusivity and celebrates everyone worldwide.

The stationery designs and a T-shirt design have been designed using the logo and color palette with a brand pattern that looks like shards of glass connected to make one cohesive picture behind a gradient that looks like a rainbow - this helps signify the unification that The Umbrella envisions.

The final logo design and brand elements are used on all stationary items and the elements of the brand strongly come together as one unit.
