Brief -
Bazza’s is a small business creating home-made healthy dog food. The owner was inspired to start this business after helping one of his dogs who was struggling with food become healthy again through his home-cooked meals. It was important that he figured out his target audience, messaging and brand direction -
Attract their target audience (dog owners - working class).
Convey their goals (supply high quality fresh and affordable dog food to Australians.
Solution -
The goal was to develop a strong brand for a business in the pet food industry. It was important to do thorough research on competitors and understand the target market in order to convey their goals and expand on it for the future of the business (create short and long-term goals - Micro - create a brand for the food item to keep dogs healthy. Macro - build a community where dogs are loved, cared for and celebrated); doing so will also help us strategically design all the brand elements.
The logo and variations are created so that it can be used across all marketing programs; the variations allow it to be used in different spaces while strongly tying to the brand’s identity.
Packaging & Stationery Design
The packaging was created while following the brand guidelines (color palette and appropriate logo usage). Patterns of the shapes of different dog breeds were created to use as a decorative element and also so that the logo can be placed in the middle of the faces - further emphasizing the brand’s celebration and love for all dog breeds. In the packaging tape, the brand’s social media handle has been added so it can be used as an effective marketing material by exposing the brand and building connections with their consumers.
